Henri Rousseau

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,

Today we are talking about Henri Rousseau jungle paintings. Henri Rousseau is a French painter who was a self painter because he couldn't afford to go to art school. Most of his painting will always have foliage and flora. He always repeatedly use the same shape, plants and animals like one of his paintings has a tiger on his painting, he use it again but he face it to the other way. But if he show his painting on the art gallery, people always make fun of him. He keeps trying and trying but they still don't like it. But a lot of famous artiest are started to respect him. 

In are year 7/8 class we print six paintings and cut it from the background, middle ground and the foreground. We did all the meanings like Repetition, mono and print.

Labour Day Weekend

 Hello readers and welcome back to my blog, 

Today I'm going to talk my labour day weekend. In Sunday I went to basketball training in Wycola park with one friend. We did a lot of punishment like twenty sit ups, thirty secound plank and one suicide. We keep getting punish until we defend our student coach to not take a shot or we get punish. We did 10 more games until the sun ran out. In total I did eighty sit ups, two minutes plank and 5 suicide. When 
I went home my feet was so swore that I had lay down on my bed for ten minutes to not prevent cramping on my leg and ankle.     

Sunday I took a rest day and last night I slept at 11.56 pm and woke up at 8 am. In Sunday I just stayed home and do chores like every person would do. 

In Monday we decided to go to the city and walk around. My brother was having a labour day party in the city. His co workers was exploring there new spot of their new restaurant. Me and my family was walking around the city until he was done. We meet up in the bridge of remembrance and drove to strawberry fair. We share a meal had a nice dessert and went home

The Laughing Owl

 Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,

Today i'm going to talk about the laughing owl. I got this idea from Uncle Don Knows Heap Of Wacky Stuff. One of the pages there was a type of bird called the laughing owl. It looked interesting and that's why I chose that topic. They called it the laughing owl because the sound that they make. People describe it like a mad man was laughing or a little dog barking. But it was extinct at the 1914 and the last recorded one was founded at a road. I really love this topic because it's my favourite animal. Here's my awesome work.

Long Finned Eels

 Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, 

Today i'm talking about long finned eels. I got the idea from a book called Uncle Don Knows Heaps Of Wacky Stuff. We have to pick a animal and make a DLO. I learned heaps of stuff from the book and about eels. I made the poster on canva but I really didn't like because i'm new to canva and the controls very complicated. But I had fun from reading the facts and learning new things. Like Their livespan is 80 years. Here's my work

DRAMA ! !!! (Term 3)

 Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog,

Today I'm talking about my experience in drama. The first thing that we do is do theatre games. My Favourite theatre games is wink murder because it's fun and we have to act. To play the game, we have to sit on a circle and pick the sheriff and the sheriff has to go on a room. The players pick the murder and they called the sheriff. The murder has to wink at them to be killed. The sheriff has to pick the person who is the murder. But they only have three guesses. 

My favourite movie genre is action and melo because I watch them the most and enjoyed the most too. 

The types of drama that we learned is melodrama, comedy, tragedy and musical theatre. Tragedy is like having bad ending like avengers infinity war. The first country to have theatre is Greece. The first actors who play on a theatre is the the theatre of Dionysus. Which is not a inside theatre

Pied Stilt

Today I'm going to talking about the pied stilt in New Zealand. We learned a lot of animals on a online book called Uncle Don knows heap of wacky stuff. We chose a animal on the book at a specific page. I chosen the pied stilt because they look very interesting to me and I wanted learn more about them I really like this topic because we can research animals that we don't know.

What is an Acid ?

Name if Acids :

Hydrochloric Acid/HCL - If you spill it on your clothes it will make a hole on it. Doesn't hurt on skin but with a cut it hurts.  

Sulfuric Acid/H2SO4 -

Nitric - Acid/HNo3 - Comes from hydrogen gas.

Where do you find Acid ?

Plaque Acid is in your tooth which is a bacteria that poos on your teeth. But toothpaste cancelled that 

Stomach Acid  is Hydrochloride which just break down food.

Battery Acid is Sulfuric which is really dangerous because will melt anything.  

Lemons and Oranges have Citric Acid. Which is just Vitamin C.

What is Acid ?

An Acid contains Hydrogen atoms that break off to react with a substance 

There different atoms as well like nuclear bombs.

Someone the spilt the atoms and called it rutherfordium/RF

Litmus Colour: 

Litmus paper changes colour in acid. 

It changes to a red colour

Red Cabbage Indicator

Aim : 

I want to find out how to tell if something is an acid

Method :

Equipment : 

• Beaker
• Red Cabbage
• Hot water 
• Dropper 
• Test Tubes 
• Different samples for testing   

instructions

1.  Get your equipment ready.
2. Tear the cabbage into small pieces and them into the beaker

3. Add about 100mL of hot water 

4. If it's blue let it sit for 10 minutes

5. Get one bottle each of hydrochloric acid and hydroxide 

6. Get a test tube and put hydrochloric acid or hydroxide on the bottle ( It should be the height of the pinky on it's side )

7. Put 1 to 3 drops of cabbage juice and see what colour turns out.

You can experiment how many colour that you make. Sometimes it can mix it each other colours. You can put a lot of acid but DON'T SPILL IT.

The result there out great. The blue tube has to have a lot of hydrochloric acid and a touch of cabbage juice turn out. The other tube turned to galaxy by accident 

If you spill the acid just put water on it and it will be okay
