Today i'm going to show you the story of Sadoko. The story takes place from ww2 when Japan is now by themselves. Then America decided to use their bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the bombings they went back to their house while they fix the city. Here's my work.
It's 1945, after Hiter shot himself and Mussolini out of the war. Japan is now by themselves. The allies are now pushing through to Japanese territory. They successfully captured islands that Japan invaded and got closer to Japanese territory. On July 16 1945, America’s bomb testing in New Mexico. The crater was 300 meters long and America kept testing bombs on desserts because it’s a hot spot for it. On August 6 America decided to use their nuclear bombs in two cities.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was carrying the little boy/atomic bomb. They dropped the bomb and they quickly put their goggles on and quickly left the radius of the blast and shock-wave. When the bomb hit the surface and a giant mushroom cloud was forming up. When the exposition set off, 70,000 or 80,000 thousand people died immediately or died after the exposition. Luckily a girl called Sadako survived the raging fire and shockwaves. Sadako’s grandmother was leaving with her family. After the bombing Sadoko’s grandmother went back to their home to collect their family heirloom. One of their family members is called Shigeo. He reunited with his family and they left the city. 3 days later I did it again in Nagasaki. The emperor of Japan declared surrender to the allies.
A Few Years later Sadako went back to Hiroshima with her family. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with leukaemia. Leukaemia is a type of cancer that is a group in the blood. She got leukemia by radiation from the bomb. Sadako’s friend told her to make a origami paper cranes. She wished that she would make 1000 of them. She got inspired by a Japanese legend that made 1000 origami cranes. Her other wish was to live through her leukaemia. She wants this because she wants to be in the running team in Japan. She managed to make 644 origami cranes and she became too restless. She died in her sleep in the morning in October. They honoured her by making the 356 rest of the origami.
