P.E (Netball)

Hello readers welcome back to my blog,

Today we're showing what we did in P.E. The sport we did in P.E is Netball. Miss Bancroft. taught us how to play netball. The first rule you cannot step when you have the ball and can't bonce it when you are running. I'm used to basketball and it's kinda awkward. But you can bounce pass or any passes but you do a short pass. But I still have a lot of fun.

Gummy Bear Osmosis

 Aim:

I want to find out what happen to Gummy bears when we put them into different solutions.

Prediction :

I predict that the gummy bears we dissolved and it's going to grow. Plus the colour we won't mix like the Skittles.

Method :

Equipment :    

• 4x Gummy Bears of the same colour 
• 2x petri dishes 
• Paper towel
• Marker 
• 3x solutions( water, sugar water and salt water)
• Electronic balance 
• Beaker
• Measuring cylinder 
• Safety Glasses  

instructions:

1.  Gather you equipment 
2. Put you safety glasses
3. Using the marker pen write the name of the condition on the petri dish. ( DRY, WATER, SALTWATER AND SUGAR WATER. 
4. Weight the Gummy Bear and write the weight on the petri dish.
5. Measure the 40 mL of the solutions and pour into the petri dish.

a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.

Skittles Colour Experiment

Aim:

I want to find out what happen when I put Skittles into water. 

Method:

Equipment

• Skittles 
• Petri dish  
• Warm water 
• Beaker 
• White background 

Instructions 

1. Get equipment 
2. Put 8 Skittles in the petri dish  
3. Spread the Skittles evenly.
4. Gently pour warm water into the middle of the petri dish but don't overfill the petri dish. 
5. Observe and record what happens. 

Prediction 

I think I will is going look like a rainbow tunnel 

Result :

I saw a colourful tunnel in the petri dish 

It was infecting into centre when it stopped it was mixing to the colour.

Discussion :

The outer colour shell of the Skittles dissolve and the colour was expanding. 

Somehow the colour didn't mix.

What is Dissolving : My Guess 

Example like putting something but it doesn't melt. It's like making hot chocolate you put the coca it to hot water then it dissolved it didn't melt. 

If you melt chocolate it turned to chocolate syrup you can freeze. But you put it to water you can freeze it but it takes a long time.  

The colour concentrated and it defuse and they spreed out. Because it human nature they don't want to be crowded. 

The colour had different solubility. 

What did Lebron James did for people

Today I will be showing what Lebron James does for people. I picked Lebron James because he did a lot good thing and he had deal a lot of bad things. He was resilience because he quit the cavs and join in Miami heat team. A lot of fans hate him now because they supported Lebron but he betrayed them. But he ignore the fans who trying to make him feel bad. He donated so much for community and made a public school called I promise. Because he build a school for people can't afford to go to school. Conical flask 

Conical flask are used for trapping liquids or substances. Plus it can heat it up and you can boil it. It doesn't allow to spill the substances or liquids. 

 

Test tube tongs are use for holding tube and move it when it's hot or dangerous.

A beaker is a glass container with a flat bottom. It's use for chemistry and for heating it up mixing with a spatula on the photo. The spatula is for mixing liquids and subtan  

 

Earthquake Heroes ( 2011)

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. 

Today we talking about the 2011 earthquake in Christchurch. It took 5 years to clean the mess up. There's still thousand of homes not rebuilt. Some people saves people but they didn't have an a bravery award. Like Sam Johnson him and his team really help to clean the mess. Plus there firefighters, St john workers and officer didn't get a award. It cost 15.billion dollars - 30 billion dollars to fix everything. Here's my awesome work.

Hands on Fire (Fire Bending)

 Aim:

I want to SaFeLY set hands on fire.

Equipment 

• Safety Glasses 
• Detergent/Soap
• Lighter
• Gas 
• Hose 
• Container
• Water 

instructions

1. Get your equipment  
2. Put your safety glasses on 
3. Fill the container with water. 
4. Put the soap or detergent in the water. 
5. Connect the hose to the gas tap and put the other end in the water 
6. Turn the gas tap
7. Tie up your hair if you hair is long
8. Wet you hands, wrist, arms to your elbows. 
9. With two hands scoop the bubbles 
10. Extend your arms in front on your face. 
11. Do not pull your hands away
12. Set the bubbles on fire with your lighter 
13. If your scared from the fire to get rid of it slowly open your hands into the Iron man pose.
