Summer Learning Journey (Tent Site Math)

Kumusta everyone and welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be posting my summer learning journey blog. This summer learning journey work will be geometry about fitting all the tent on the tent site. We have to color the shapes of the grid to make the shape of the tent and some levels there will be a toilet block on the middle and try put the tents. Then we design our on tent site and ask as a question. Here's my summer learning journey work.

Thank you for checking out on my blog and make sure you comment down below. Thank you and have a safe 2021.

  1. Kia ora Renz,

It’s Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai on completing your challenge. It looked hard but you did a good job!

I was wondering where you got your shape that’s 78,624 square meters from? It would definitely get you a lot of profit though!

To make the most profit, I would probably utilise all of the campsites shown in the square shape you had to colour in. A quick way to count these is to count all the squares at the top across, and all the squares on the left going down and multiply these two numbers. In the first grid, I got 10 x 5 which gives 50. Then you would times that number by the price, so $15 x 50 which gives $750. Next I would see what profit I could get from the second campsite which has a different number of equally sized squares, and compare the answers to see which makes the most money.

I hope that helps and will check back soon to see how you get on!

Bye for now and keep up the amazing work! I’m so proud of you!

  2. Hello Renz.
This looks like it would of taken you a while to complete.
You have done a great job.
I remember going camping when I was at school.
It wasn't a great experience for me as it rained ALL NIGHT and I was the one sleeping near the entrance of the tent.

Have you ever been camping?.I'd love to hear about it if you have?.
