Optical illusion ( Summer learning journey)

Kumusta readers welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be showing my optical illusion on my summer learning journey activity. What is optical illusion ? Optical illusion is a pattern that is confusing on the human eye. Here and example Researchers use computer vision to better understand optical illusions

Can you see that the first illusion has lines that connect each other but it's not true. Because of angle of the cube if you don't take of an angle like that it will turn like this.

Necker cube - Wikipedia

Hint if you turn to the right you see it's just an ordinary cube

My optical illusion is a triangle. First fail it was a Lego one it look like this.

Lego illusion, (I'm confused) : opticalillusions

I couldn't do this because I not have ant blocks to built it. Then I change to google drawing. it much more  easier to do it. Here my work.

Thank you for checking out on my blog and make sure you comment down below. Thank you and have a safe holiday.

  1. Hello Renz.
Isn't it fascinating that things can look different depending on how we look at objects.
I can see with the top cube, that the black, bold lines cut through the light grey, not making it all connect.
Or are the black lines on the outside of the cube?.
I guess it's up to the person who is looking at it,to decide.
I like your example-well done for trying your best.
Have a great holiday and Merry Christmas.
I look forward to seeing more of your holiday learning.

  2. Kia ora Renz,

Fiona here from the Summer Learning Journey team.

It’s great to see you have signed up to participate in the summer learning journey - ka pai! I hope you are enjoying the summer so far.

What a fantastic optical illusion image you have created. The way the triangles look linked really tricks my eyes! I like how you share on your post helpful information about what optical illusions are, and then you share the steps you took to create - first with Lego and then using Google Drawing. Awesome effort!
How long did it take you to make the illusions?

Keep up the great blogging - I can’t wait to see more of your posts soon.

    Ngā mihi nui,

    Fiona (SLJ).
